Shoes-ing Carefully

(Haha shoes-ing, choosing, geddit?)

I love shoes. I work in a shoe shop and naturally, have amassed quite a collection over the past couple of years. Being a size 5/5.5/6 (yeah, it varies a lot) means that I can save money on lots of styles using one nifty little trick...

Buying kids' shoes.

Admittedly, you'll probably only be able to get away with buying kids shoes if you wear a size 6 (Eur 39) or smaller, but you can pass this tip on to friends and family and help them make some major savings.

 Nike Roshe Run
£69.99 - Footlocker (sizes 3-8.5)
£40 - Nike (size 13.5Y-5.5, and some even go up to a 7)

Timberland Classic 6-inch Boot
£160 - Timberland (sizes 3.5-9)
£90 - Timberland (sizes 3-6)

Hunter Original Wellies

£85 - Schuch (sizes 3-8)
£26.25 Outdoorgear (special offer, RRP £35, sizes 13y-5)

 Kickers Kick Hi
£75 - Office (sizes 3-8)
£55 - JD Sports (sizes 3-6)

If you were to buy all the adult styles featured here, you'd pay £389, but if you went for the kids' sizes instead you'd pay £211.25, saving £177.75! That's around 45% off - amazing! Many of these retailers will also offer a student discount, so the saving doesn't end there.  These are just a few examples, but once you know the kids' size ranges for different brands you can shop around in stores and online before making your purchases.

I hope this has been helpful! Comment below if you know of any other "secret" kids' ranges.
