#Prom Prep Review | Clearasil Ultra Blemish + Marks Range

This post is the first one in a series that we'll be doing to help you get ready for prom, or any other big spring/summer occasions you have coming up. It's always good to have a skincare routine that works for you, and while the event is a while away this may be a good time to try out different products and see what works best for you.

I was very kindly sent a few products from the Clearasil ULTRA blemish + marks range. I have dry skin which is prone to blemishes so I was interested to see how this would work. The range claims to help clear blemishes fast and fight the appearance of marks.  In our generation of airbrushed faces and photo shopped images , many people want to achieve that fresh face flawless look. Of course that is unattainable, but I think its vital that everyone feels comfortable in their own skin and no-one should feel like they need to hide away because of skin imperfections. This range does offer to reduce the appearance of marks and blemishes, which is always a comfort, so I was really excited to try it...

Ultra blemish + Marks Wash and Mask

The wash was very light weight and smelled extremely good. It was very silky and felt very therapeutic on my skin. It also glides on to the skin very easily when using it as a mask. It works very quickly and you only need to leave it on the skin for a minute before washing it off.  It was very clever of them to make a two in one treatment instead of having to purchase a wash and mask separately. I loved the packaging as it was all metallic and shiny. If you have sensitive skin like me that is prone to drying , I would request that you used the mask no more than three times a week.

Ultra blemish + Marks scrub

I'm not a huge fan of scrubs because they tend to dry out my skin however , this product made my face as soft as a baby's bottom  (I know right , who doesn't want that?) I used the scrub around twice a week just to prevent my skin from drying out. Again, the scent was beautiful. The scrub has a light blue colour and contains scrubbing beads which help exfoliate the skin and remove dirt deep down.

Ultra blemish + Marks Treatment cream

The treatment cream is a light-weight cream that you apply to blemishes only. My only advice for this product would be to only apply a small amount onto the affected areas as too much could leave behind white residue.

Priscilla: I have also been using the range for over a month now and I'm really impressed. It didn't dry out my skin as much as I thought it would, and I have found that it's particularly good at keeping spots at bay.
Ruth: After using this range for 5 weeks, I noticed a reduction in the appearance of my blemishes.  It will take time for the blemishes to fade however with routine usage , you should see an improvement! Just remember to use sun screen along with these products as they can make your skin sensitive to the light...which will then darken your blemishes...which will then defeat the whole purpose of using the product. Im really looking forward to a blemish free face!
