Summer Sale Haul

Hi Guys,
If you're wondering what I've been doing in the nearly two weeks that I haven't blogged here, head over to www.commerciallyaware.co.uk. It's on the complete opposite end of the spectrum to I Walk in Fashion, but I'm actually quite enjoying researching and blogging on topics that I start off knowing nothing, or very little about. If you know any budding lawyers, please be sure to share Commercially Aware with them!
I thought I'd share some recent sale buys with you today. I've actually bought far too much, but narrowed it down to my favourites.

Primark - £5
I absolutely love this structured boxy t shirt from Primark. It's made from a nice thick material and has a kind of woven effect, so I think it will last a long time. I've already worn it to a corporate event, and I think it's a smart way to add some colour into your work wardrobe. It can also be dressed down with a pair of jeans and some comfy pumps.

Clothesminded - £2
This is one of the items I bought in Clothesminded's £1 and £2 sale last month. There was some confusion with my order, so I've literally just received one of the items I oredered, but I have to say, I am very impressed with the quality of the clothing. I was concerned that this houndstooth skater dress would be made from a cheap jersey material, but it's made from a thick material with a good stretch to it. I also really like the fit of it, and cannot believe it was only £2!

Primark - £3
This floral t-shirt is one of my favourite items I've bought recently. It's the perfect marriage of the floral and sports-luxe trends. I love that the material on the front of the t-shirt is the kind you would find on a sports t-shirt, so it helps you to keep cool in the heat - perfect for summer.

Clothesminded - £2
I loved this stripy shift dress so much, I bought another one with red instead of blue stripes. It's perfect for throwing on and making you look put-together when you really haven't tried too hard at all. I love wearing it with a leather jacket and Vagabonds or black desert boots.

Clothesminded - £2
This is one of two kimono styles I purchased from Clothesminded. I wasn't sure about the trend, so figure I wouldn't be losing too much by spending £2 and giving it away if I didn't like it. It turns out, I like kimonos. A lot. I have this weird thing where even if it's really hot, I don't feel completely ready to go out if I don't have some sort of jacket/cardigan type thing on.  Kimonos are prefect as you don;t get ridiculously hot wearing them. The other kimono I bought is a sheer cream floral one, the pattern of which I used for the title picture of this post.

Topshop - £13.50
The Topshop sale started recently, and when I saw these patent platform heels online for £15, I snapped them up. The website described them as 100% leather, but the sticker on the shoe says the outer is made of 'other materials' and the lining is leather.  If they are real leather this would justify the original £52 price tag, but thanks to Topshop's student discount, I only paid £13.50.

What's your favourite item from this haul? Have you picked up any bargains recently?
