Ruth's Holiday Lookbook

Hello my lovelies! Now as you probably know , I went to Spain last week. The weather was perfect: not too cold yet not too hot. The villa that we stayed in was beautiful; with a great view of the spanish scenery. I even managed to try some paella which was DELICIOUS! There was also a lovely balcony which was perfect for snapping holiday lookbook pictures on. I've decided to show you guys some of the outfits I was rocking in Spain so enjoy!

Priscilla's Holiday Lookbook

Last week we went on a family holiday to Spain. We stayed in Fuengirola and had a beautiful view of the sea. We also visited Mijas, and tried some Paella (pictures below). The weather was perfect - definitely warmer than England, but not unbearably hot. Here are some of the outfits I wore during our holiday...

Thrifty Thursday - Flubit

Hi guys, first of all, do you like the funky new 'Thrifty Thursday' graphic? Haha
This week I want to share with you a site that I think is really underrated -

Flubit.com

If you shop on Amazon a lot, this is a great one for you. Simply enter the url for any Amazon item you'd like to buy, specify the size/colour etc. if necessary, and the Flubit team will try to get you a better deal.
I have been using this website for a couple of years, and initially, you could post in links from any website and Flubit would get you a better deal. Back then, I used Flubit to buy a pair of Ray Ban wayfarers, a Michael Kors watch, perfumes, an Android tablet, and an ink cartridge for my printer - all for less than the cheapest prices I could find on other websites, and from sites like Kelkoo.

Review | MUA Matte Lipstick

Hey guys, I have been recently really obsessed with lip products ( I have no idea why) and I decided to show you one of my best finds.
MUA (Make-up Academy) has a £1 range. (I know right , ONLY £1). Their £1 range includes products such as foundation , mascara , eyeliner , nail polish and of course lipstick. Now especially as they are only £1 , I didn't expect the quality to blow me away however I find that they are worth the money  and do the job.

#BanBossy

I came across this advert recently and it got me thinking about double standards in society, and how many of these label we accept as normal without questioning them, or even realising how damaging they are.

It ties in nicely with the 'Ban Bossy' campaign which successful women like Victoria Beckham and Beyoncé have lent their support to. You can find out more about the Ban Bossy campaign here.

Bristol 10k - Update + Competition

Hi guys, I just want to let you know about a little competition I'm running on my Virgin Money Giving page.

As you may know from previous posts, I'm running the Bristol 10k next month. A lot of my training has been focused on endurance, but I've been incorporating interval training this week to help improve my speed. I'd like to complete the run in under an hour, but I thought it would be interesting to see how you think I'll do, so I'm running a little competition...

If you sponsor me via my Virgin Money Giving page, leave an estimate as to how long you think it'll take me to finish the Bristol 10k, and an email address I can contact you with, the closest guess will win a £10 Tesco voucher. Full details on the page.

You can now also sponsor me by text, just send 'RUNP93' +  (amount) to 70070.

Have a great weekend!

Thrifty Thursday - 10 Ways

Happy April! I hope you're enjoying the longer days and lovely weather. This week I'm sharing with you a Facebook page that has
REVOLUTIONISED. MY. LIFE:

Also known as the oh-so-catchy '10 ways to have more money as a student, without working.'
10 ways is aimed at anybody who wants to save money on everyday things, but is particularly helpful for students. They post tips, tricks and discounts multiple times per day, and you can sign up to receive emails from them as little or as often as you like.
What I really like about 10 ways is that as they're on Facebook, they really converse with the people who like their page, and they also update very quickly and often, so you have a decent change of taking advantage of short-lived offers and glitches.

I've bagged so many bargains thanks to 10 Ways' notifications; my Asics Gel Pursuits (which I'll be running the Bristol 10k in) for less than £30, a T-Mobile phone contract which was priced at £0 due to a glitch, a £20 Tesco voucher with a £1 Sun+ subscription, a Seventeen make up set worth £30 free with a £1 3-month subscription to Glamour magazine, Red Spotted Hanky Train Vouchers and much more. I also am now armed with knowledge of insider  tricks like this "Tosco" one ;).

I would definitely recommend liking the 10 Ways Facebook Page and signing up to their emails. While you're over there don't forget to like the I Walk in Fashion Facebook Page too! What discount websites or pages do you like using?
