Easter Recipe - Chocolate nests

So I have decided to share with you one of my favourite easter recipes. Its quick and pretty simple and you don't need to be a master chef to ace it.

Ingredients:
- 1 whole chocolate bar (it doesn't have to be an expensive one . A shops own-brand will do)
- 2  shredded wheat biscuits

Decoration:
- Chicks (not real ones of course)
- Chocolate Mini eggs

Equipment:
- 2 table spoons
- 1 pyrex bowl
- 1 mixing  bowl
- Sauce pan
- Cupcake cases

Method:
Take your chocolate , break it up into pieces and put it in a pyrex bowl. Boil water in a sauce pan and place your bowl into it so the chocolate will melt.
Get another bowl and scrunch up all your shredded wheat into a bowl.
Once your chocolate has melted , give it a quick stir and pour it onto the shredded wheat.
Stir it all together and place about two spoon fulls into cup-cake cases. Press down lightly in the middle of each nest to make space for your decorations.  Put it in the fridge and leave it to set for about 10minutes. Once its hard , place your chicks and a couple of chocolate mini eggs in the middle for decoration.

And there you have it! Your very own chocolate nests. They do not only look great , but they taste divine and would make a great mini Easter gift!

Happy Easter everyone! x

My final item for my giveaway has arrived. Just 1 more GFC follower until my UK blog giveaway. I urge all of you to follow as its going to be great!

p.s. credit to my amazing sister for the photos!

Passion for Fashion Moneysupermarket Blogger Competition

Hey guys , this is my money supermarket bloggers competition entry. For more informaion, Click HERE

Total Price: £130.00

I think beach/holiday outfits are a good time to play with colour. The sun is shining and you've left behind all your stress so you might as well let everything out. Here I've gone for one of my favourite patterns , floral, teamed with a petite sleeveless polka dot top. Now , I wouldn't normally team two patterns together especially when they are so 'out there' in your face but your on holiday , so I guess your allowed to do things like that. I've gone for the gladiator sandals to give the outfit that vintage look and I think one of the most things I look forward to on holiday is feeling the fresh sand through my toes so I would never  dare do anything to prevent that (hahaha). I've added the topshop nail varnish because I thought it was such a pretty spring colour and reminds me a lot of some sort of exotic fruit. The bikini fits in with the floral theme and the signature sunglasses just had to be thrown in because
not only do they protecet your eyes from the sun , they tend to look great in holidays photos!

H&M denim shirt,£20 | Oasis light weight Burgundy jeans, £18 | Charlotte Russe messenger bag , £18 | Miss Selfridge bracelets bangle , £21| Nike Trainers Nike Blazer High VNTG, £69 | Topshop Nail Polish , £5.00

Total Price: £151.00

I think I speak for everyone when I say , everyone loves a bit of casual dressing now and again. Its just so nice to be able to thrown on a pair of your most comfortable jeans with a top that you never knew existed. With my casual look I''ve teamed burgundy jeans with a denim shirt. I think the colours compliment each other nicely and denim has always had that casual feel to it. I've thrown in some Nike blazers as I own a pair and find them very comfortable.  The nude coloured nail varnish is just to contrast the subtle pastel colours in the satchel and shirt. I have added  the watch and bracelet set just to add touch of 'pow' to the outfit.

Party look
Short cocktail dress, £20 | Soda heel wedge shoes , £18 | |Nude clutch, £18 | H&M bracelet ring, £4 | Dorothy Perkins Collar Necklace , £13,| John & Pearl triangle earrings, £29 | eylure ,  Topshop , £9.95

Total Price:£111.95

For the party look , I went all black and gold with a touch of red. I think at a party , its vital that you stand out and I've done this by using colours that shine and sparkle. I've gone for a bit of glamorous-rock by merging rich gold accessories with studs. I love the dipped hem detailing on the dress with the pretty golden patterns , its got everything I'd want in a party dress. When planning this outfit , I was almost certain i'd go over the limit of £200 put I didn't. (pheew!) In fact , its come across as the cheapest outfit and  don't have the slightest clue how that happened!

Thank guys

Beauty Tip - DIY Lip Scrub

Beauty Tip - DIY Lip Scrub

Because of the recent harsh weather , many of us are suffering from severe dry lips. I try to keep up with the dryness with a bit of Vaseline every now and then but sometimes it just doesnt do the trick. With , this in mind , I came to the conclusion that I needed to get a good lip scrub. It was then that I realised ,  you don't need to cash out on a lip scrub , you can make your own. Sugar is a great natural exfoliate which is why it is  used in many of the high quality lip scrubs .

Ingredients:

-3 drops of olive oil
-1 tbsp of sugar
- 1/4 tsp of lip balm (something like carmex or Vaseline)
- Peppermint Oil (this is completely optional, but is good for a little flavour)

Get a small container and put in your lip balm. Add in 1tbsp of sugar and stir until everything is mixed together. Add 3 drops of olive oil , and if you would like, add two drops of peppermint oil. Mix well then rub it all over your lips for around 30 seconds. leave the mixture on your lips for around 1-2 minutes so all the moisturisers can soak in. Wipe off with a warm damp cloth. Then 'vio la! ' smooth kissable lips!

I'd recommend you to do this around 3 times a week and you'll see a big difference.
You could even double or triple the batch and store in the fridge in an air-tight container. You can then use this scrub whenever you need but it would be probably best to keep it no longer than 1week.

I hope your all having a lovely week

How to make a "grab my button" scroll box.

Hello guys! I had a really hard time finding out how to make a scroll box so I decided to do a post on it so you don't have to go through the same trouble I did.

(If you have already made a blog badge , jump to the second point.)

1)Create your blog badge.

I would recommend using ipiccy as it has a wide range of different designs to choose from. Make sure our logo is around 225px in height and 225 in length. Make your blog logo Bright to attract people on to your page.
Once your happy with how it looks, save it onto your desktop.

2) Upload your picture

Upload your picture on to photo bucket and copy the direct link onto a word document.

3) Paste HTML code

Go onto the layout of your blog and press "add a gadget". Click on he HTML/Java script box
Give it a catchy name like 'Grab my button'

Copy and paste the code below into the box:

[div align="center"][a href="http://www. YOURSITEURL.com" target="_blank"][img src="http://YOURIMAGEURL"][/a][/div] [div align="center"][form][textarea rows="3" cols="19" readonly="readonly"][a href="http://www. YOURSITEURL.com" target="_blank"][img src="http://YOURIMAGEURL"][/textarea][/form][/div]
Replace: "http://www. YOURSITEURL.com"  with your site address. Mine would be http://www. iwalkinfashion.co.uk
Replace : http://YOURIMAGEURL with the image url that you copied and pasted from photobook ono a word document.
Replace all ] and [ with > and <. for example : [or] becomes <or>
4) save your scroll box. It should look a bit like this:

Favourite cut-out pieces

Favourite cut-out pieces

 Cut out T shirt collar dress - £32 - glamorous.com

Red Heart cut out dress - £35 - newlook.com

  White Wal G chiffon top - £18 - bankfashion.co.uk

Topshop cut out boots - ebay.co.uk

Lace up wedge - amazon.com

silver cross cut out ring - missselfridge.com

So instead of having the standard clothes with all the correct pieces of fabric in the right place , I've opted for something new. something cool. something different...The cut-out trend.
When I first got introduced to this trend , I thought it was a bit weird because the clothes looked like they had random pieces of fabric missing but over time , it has really grown on me.
Due  to the current weather conditions, it is highly unlike that I'll be able to wear this trend but I am determined not to let the weather dampen my mood.
My favourite item from this list would have to be the topshop cut out boots. Now your probably thinking "eeer they are really masculine" but sometimes ,what some outfits need is the masculine touch. When styled correctly , theses boots could look super stylish!
I've been browsing on LookBook recently and came across the red cut-out heart dress styled with the cut out boots and I instantly fell in love with the outfit! I would do an outfit post about it however , I
do not own any of these items ( Yet! ) , but I'm sure you get the picture.

Guys, because I'm really nosey , I would like to know if any of you have gotten tickets for the "Mrs Carter show" because I'm totally jealous of everyone who did! :p
Last but not least, I just need 2 AMAZING people to follow this blog on GFC (google friend connect). I know there is no point because GFC is being scrapped but I've always aimed to have at least 40 followers on GFC and I'm determined to go through with it! So please follow this block to unlock a brilliant super duper gieveaway!

Thanks guys! :D ♥

Emergency Beauty Items

Hey guys! I'm really sorry if  I make any spelling mistakes but I'm currently using a key board with no "t" or "y" or "backspace" which means I have to use the on-screen keyboard which takes me a ridiculous amount of time.  From this un-appreciated experience , I have notice that a lot of words contain the letter "t" which is , in my case, very annoying.
Now ,do any of you have a mini emergency beauty bag that you carry around with you? Well I certainly do and I thought I'd show you some of the items it contains because it can become very useful.

Reveiw | Yankee 'Sparkling Lemon' Candle

Hello my lovelies! This is my first ever product review (yaay!). I have not yet mastered the art yet but I'll try. Please tell me what you think :)

This candle is actually my sisters and It was given to her free from Very.co.uk as there was an offer which allowed you to pick a free item once you spent over £25. (I know, I'ts such a brilliant deal. )
Yankee candles are a range of luxurious scented candles that are packaged in cute jars to give a house warming feel. They do not only smell great but are beautiful decorative items that will look fabulous on a mantelpiece even when its not lit. The smell of the candles are really distinct and unlike many other candles on the market , the scent lasts for an incredibly long time and can burn up to 90 hrs.
The scent I have here is "sparkling lemon" which is just a burst of warm fruitfulness.  You can really smell the  sweet Meyer Lemon with notes of energetic citrus lime and bergamot orange coming through. Its a lovely way to relax and also absolutely perfect for a bit of well-earned me-time. The sweet smell is quick to fill up your living or bedroom and the vibrant colour creates a lively atmosphere.  There are a range of different colours and beautiful scents to choose from. Whats even more brilliant is that the fragrances are also available in room sprays. I think all Yankee candle products smell and look amazing which makes them the perfect gift for any household.

Price
 Small - £7.75
Medium - £15.45
Large - £18.45

Cartoon | Trend

Hello my lovelies! I hope you've had a brilliant week. Firstly I'd like to say happy St Patricks day! I was warmly welcomed into Asda by a group of lovely children doing some beautiful Irish dancing which I absolutely adore. Anyway , it doesn't look like the weather is getting any better so no outfit posts :(.  I would really like to get some feed back on my blog on how to improve it after all , I did make this blog for all of you guys so I would like to know what posts you would enjoy or even if you find the layout of my blog complicated. I will be doing some reviews soon (one of them is on the famous , much loved , Yankee candle) So if you have any ideas , please email me : iwalkinfashion@hotmail.co.uk I would really appreciate it.

cartoon

I love cartoon items! whenever I see someone wearing it , I find myself staring at it for ages, I especially love the ones with comic scrips on. Its very entertaining when your going through a boring bus journey. I think the cartoon trend is really catching on. I've been a fan of it for some time now and seeing more and more people wearing it just makes me want to grin.

Are there any trends that guys like?

TAG!

Hello everybody! I hope your weeks going great! I've been tagged by the brilliant Olivia so I'd better get on with it! =]
1.Name a beauty regime that you rarely do?
Exfoliating. I had a really bad past with it , it would make my skin really dry because I have sensitive skin so I don't do it any more.
2. Is washing your makeup brushes something you do regularly?
I don't really use make-up brushes so..no.

3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
Up to a month but purely because I can't find the nail varnish remover or enjoy peeling it off when I get bored.

4. How long do you put off buying/replacing a beauty or nail polish product even if you need it? (i.e purchasing a new topcoat, or a new foundation etc.)
It would probably be a really long time for me because it takes me ages to sample and compare a better one.
5. What is your worst beauty habit?
Accidentally putting mascara on my eyelids. My eyelashes are really curly to its really hard to get a straight brush without leaving any mascara behind.

6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?
reading , tidying up.. the usual

7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready until the last minute or not?
I am a very organised person and I can't sleep until everything is done and perfect so I'll probably leave up to 1hr to get ready and then a 5minute check to make sure I have everything.

8. Can you commit to spending bans?
course , i do it all the time (....i wish)

9. How organised is your makeup and nail polish collection?
 not very organised..
I dump it in those mini IKEA storage boxes.

10. What is the longest amount of time you have gone without writing a blog post?
This is VERY bad and I feel quite guilty about this but it was probably about 4 days! :/
Thank you for reading  this post! :D
TAG : all my wonderful readers!

So very close to my blog giveaway! Since google is scraping GFC :(  please follow me on blog lovin'!
thanks guys
stay blessed

Still hope for spring♥

Hello my lovelies! How you doing? Its absolutely FREEZING here in London! When you go outside , it feels like ice cubes are literally being thrown at you! I managed to catch a nasty cold! :( but I am slowly and swiftly recovering from it. Neither my wardrobe or me have been able to adapt to this harsh weather. You'd think I'd be use to it by now but the sun seems to be very fickle with its apperance. I think this calls for a shopping spree! (hahaha). Since everyone is wrapping up warm now , i'd thought I'd make an outfit to brighten up the mood a little bit! Welcome to spring!
Still hope for spring

Summer dress

Doesn't that outfit make you want to grin? I can't wait til spring! I know it will probably take long to get there but we will eventually make it. #OOTD - Monochrome

Hello my lovelies! I'm back! I'm soooo sorry , that I've been away for so long. I've just been so busy and I had no computer but you'll be happy to know that my computer is now fixed so normal blogging can resume.
Being a very simple person , I like simple things which means I love to rock out simple trends , especially those simple trends that look effortlessly amazing. I think monochrome is definitely one of thoes rends and can be rocked out by nearly everyone one (and everything). I teamed a white collared shirt with a black jumper. I accessorised with the oversized hand bag and simple silver chain. Because of the freezing English weather , I threw in the signature biker coat. I'd probably wear this outift in the daytime when going out with friends or family.

Long Zip Biker Coat - F&F @ Tesco
Black Skinny Jeans - Primark
XTI 'Julia' Trainer Wedge - Office
'Middleton' Oversized Handbag - Stylistpick.com

Sorry for the lack of enthusiasm in these pictures but it was freezing cold.

My most favourite item in this outfit has to be the jacket.I think its so beautiful even though its so simple. It has a certain sparkle to it. It is very similar to the one in zara however , the Zara one is way out of my price range so I had to settle for the F&F one instead. I've seen a few cheaper ones floating around ebay so if any of you want to grab one you can get it HERE.

Once again I am terribly sorry for the neglect over the past week but I promise to post more frequently throughout the week.
(Only 7 more followers till my giveaway. YAY!)
I'm just waiting for the last item to arrive but hopefully it will arrive in time!

Hello lovelies! I'm soo sorry that I haven't blogged for so long! My computer crashed because it is quite old and I was in desperate need of a new one. Thankfully , My older sister has kindly lent me her laptop :).  I'll try my best to make sure I post throughout the week.

Wednesday Wishes #5

Printed tank top

Studded jacket
£45 - fashionunion.com

H&M platform shoes
£23 - hm.com

Ring

I absolutely love the lion printed tank top, it is a simple piece, but has such a fierce feeling to it.

I think the studded jean jacket would be a  nice light accessory to style in the spring/summer

I think these platform shoes look really cool, and I like the idea of being able to add height to my everyday outfits without wearing heels!

I think the "boss" ring is a nice cheeky accesory to wear, and in fact something that Tulisa might like.

Lastly, I would really love a laptop so I could continue blogging frequently for my lovely readers!

We are edging ever closer to the giveaway! (YAY!) You'll be happy to know that I have now purchased a few for the items for the giveaway which I'm really excited about. So get following everybody!!
